Armadale, WA Mayor Visits Church Annual Conference

Mayor Henry Zelones, who has been serving as the Armadale, WA Mayor since 2011, attended the annual conference of the Armadale congregation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 28th May. He met with local church leaders as well as some of the approximately 690 church members who reside within the Armadale Ward’s boundaries.

The Mayor was given a tour of the church and presented with a copy of the Church’s Proclamation on the Family, an official statement issued by the Church on the importance of the family unit as a basic foundation for the wellbeing of communities in every country.

President Mark Pemberton, who currently presides over LDS church members who live in the southern suburbs of Perth, told Mayor Zelones that he appreciated his willingness to attend the conference despite having a particularly busy schedule on that day. He also recognised the diligence and dedication the Mayor has exhibited throughout his many years of service to the City of Armadale.
