Since then, she has performed in many productions including Wicked, The Lion King, Les Misérables, and Beauty and the Beast.

Recently, the Australian entertainer with Māori, Irish, and Chinese heritage, had the unique experience of singing with the Rexburg Children’s Choir, from Idaho, USA.

They recorded a new version of the song “Christ is at the Helm”, by Sheree F. Hastings.

The video was shot at Goshen, Utah, at the Latter-day Saint Motion Picture Studio’s Jerusalem set, famously used in the TV series The Chosen.

The Rexburg Children’s choir, founded in 2018, is made up of approximately 100 young people aged 9 to 17. The choir performs a wide range of music, from classical to contemporary. Their collaborations with well known artists help the choir extend it’s reach and showcase the talents of its young members to a broader audience.

Ben Watson, managing director of the choir, said, “Because Jesus is the central character of the song, we couldn’t think of a more appropriate venue for the filming of this video.”

Tipoki said, “It was wonderful to work with the choir. Their goal is to bring joy to people. It was so lovely to record with them and the kids were so excited.”

She said the song is an invitation. “It doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from, let Christ in your life and you will find peace.”
