Church Leaders Across The Country Share Christmas Messages

As Australia gets into full swing with Christmas celebrations, Church leaders across the country take a moment to share messages of hope, of service and of love, reminding all to look to the Saviour as our perfect exemple.

Leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints added their voice to messages of inspiration and encouragement.

President Rainer Korte, Stake President of the Adelaide Firle Stake (diocese) was invited for the fifth consecutive year to share his Christmas message in the Adelaide Advertiser. He remarked, "His life was one of lessons for all the world. He went about ministering to others. This Christmas Season is a wonderful time for us to recommit to give as he gave, to reach out to those in need with love and compassion." 

President Phil Smith, Stake President of the Hobart Stake reflected on "unique gifts that we can give that may lift the life or at least the day of someone else", sharing twelve suggestions. His full message, published in the Hobart Mercury Newspaper can be found here.

Elder Carl Maurer, Area Seventy in the Pacific Area shared similar messages of hope and joy in the Brisbane Courier Mail. He counseled, "As we take time to worship and celebrate the birth of Christ, we will find that by him, and through him we can have hope and increase our capacity for charity and love towards others."His full message can be read here.
