Government and civic leaders joined Latter-day Saints at the 6th March semi-annual conference of the Perth North Coast Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A stake is the Church term for a group of congregations in a defined geographic area, similar to a diocese. The North Coast Stake is one of four stakes in Western Australia and includes six congregations. A stake conference held under the direction of the President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and visiting Church authority may preside at the meeting. At this meeting, Elder Kevin W. Pearson, President of the Church’s Pacific Area and member of the First Quorum of the Seventy, presided.
