A food box has been erected in the community of Busselton, WA as a way for charitable givers and grateful receivers to come together.
This innovative way of serving was initiated by Justin Geracitano, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
After seeing how food boxes had been successfully utilised in other cities around the world and observing the needs of the homeless, he felt this could be an effective way for like-minded people to give and receive.
Community members leave non-perishable and personal items in the box which can be taken anytime by people who are in need.
"It is a great feeling to provide service such as this to the community," said Justin.
