Latter-day Saints Participate in All Faiths Music Festival in Box Hill

Recently an ensemble of 18 instrumentalists from the LDS Melbourne Regional Orchestra provided three beautifully orchestrated hymns for the annual All Faiths Music Festival held at the Box Hill Town Hall. “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing” and “God Be With You Till We Meet Again” were orchestrated by Dylan Hughes, who is studying composition at Monash University. “Praise to the Lord” was orchestrated by cellist Alice Julia Watson. Michelle Menzie conducted the ensemble.

As reported in Indian Link, Dilnaz Billimoria, of the Whitehorse Interfaith Network, noted how the All Faiths Musical Festival highlighted the diverse communities that shape multicultural Victoria.

Some 300 guests attended the free event. Amongst notable dignitaries in attendance were Vicki Ward, MP for Eltham, representing Robin Scott, Minister for Multicultural Affairs; Graham Watt, State MP for Burwood; Robert Clark MP for Box Hill; Sharon Ellis, Whitehorse Councillor; and Andrew Davenport, Whitehorse Councillor.
