Church Makes Statement on Marriage Postal Vote Outcome in Australia

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints released the following statement recently regarding the outcome of the postal vote concerning the legal definition of marriage in Australia.

"We encourage all Australians to be civil, respectful and fair-minded, regardless of their views on marriage and the outcome of the postal survey. In a spirit of fairness for all, we sincerely hope that government leaders will work to preserve the rights of all Australians, enabling them to live according to their personal core beliefs."
