Cassandra O’Loughlin, a University of Newcastle Arts graduate and member of the Maitland congregation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is in the news read full article. She was honoured for her thesis work, receiving the Research Higher Degree Excellence award at the university's graduation ceremony recently.
The Newcastle Herald reported her as saying "I want my grandchildren and others, to believe in themselves, to have a goal and to reach for their potential".
