Perth recently had the opportunity of hearing from Richard and Linda Eyre, who have been among the most prominent and popular speakers in the world on topics of marriage and parenting, life-balance, and family-strengthening for almost twenty years. They have written more than a dozen books, several of which have become best-sellers. This dynamic couple have been guests on such high profile shows as Oprah, Today, and Good Morning America and were featured speakers at the World Congress of Families in Salt Lake City, Utah last October.
More than 400 members and friends packed the Warwick chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to receive insight and upliftment from these parents of nine children. Their presentation was entitled “Strengthening Your Marriage and Raising Responsible Kids in an Irresponsible World”.
The Eyres entertained and touched hearts while giving their audience practical parenting and relationship tips to practice in their own homes. After a question and answer period, they also spent one-on-one time with audience members at the evening's conclusion to tackle some of the more personal challenges people are facing.
"The evening was a wonderful success, which brought members of the community together to strengthen their marriages and families," said Daniel Rajah, Director of Public Affairs for the Church in Western Australia.
