PATSI, The Patient Activity Trolley Support Initiative, is a free service that provides personal care items, children’s games, activities and books to patients at both locations of Albury Wodonga Health (the local hospitals). “Our program allows our volunteers an opportunity to chat with each patient while providing personal care items. This is important for patient well-being and also those who are without family or friends,” said Christine Holliday of PATSI.

Christine said the organisation was grateful for the donations, and the efforts to help the community during a time when families and individuals are under pressure to provide for themselves.

“Kind donations from people like yourselves, allows our program to continue to run smoothly."

Church President Russell M. Nelson has said, "As members of the Church, we feel a kinship to those who suffer in any way. As sons and daughters of God, we are all brothers and sisters. We heed an Old Testament admonition: 'Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy.'”

He added, "Giving help to othersmaking a conscientious effort to care about others as much as or more than we care about ourselvesis our joy. Especially, I might add, when it is not convenient and when it takes us out of our comfort zone. Living that second great commandment [to love thy neighbour] is the key to becoming a true disciple of Jesus Christ.” The Second Great Commandment, Russell M. Nelson, October, 2019.
