Six government, faith and academic leaders from the South Pacific region are among delegates at the 22nd annual International Law and Religion Symposium at the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, United States this week.
Australian Human Rights Commissioner, Mr Tim Wilson, spoke in today's opening session.

Father Brian Lucas, General Secretary of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference, and Sr Catherine Jones, Chair of the New Zealand Catholic Bishops Committee on Interfaith Relations, also spoke today.
Others to speak at the conference from the South Pacific region are Hon Delilah Gore MP, Papua New Guinea's Minister for Religion, Youth and Community Development; Samoan Attorney General, Hon Ming Leung Wai; and Professor Michael Quinlan, Dean of the University of Notre Dame (Australia) Law School.
Delegates are speaking on the conference theme, "Religion, Law and Social Stability," within the context of their own experiences and research.
