Sunshine Coast Mayor Mark Jamieson recently received a framed Family Tree and a recorded history of his family from local Church leader President Paul Thomas, Sunshine Coast Stake (diocese) President, from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

President Thomas, and Stake Family History Director Sandra Allsop presented Mr Jamieson with his family history spanning five generations. Also participating in the presentation was Amanda Fairbank and Gordon Appleton, representing the Church local Public Affairs team.

The Mayor expressed a keen interest in his genealogy and was very grateful to receive the framed Family Tree and recorded history. He is planning to travel to Scotland later this year to visit areas his family lived. The history will help him in his search for his family.

A personal invitation was also extended for Mayor Jamieson to visit the Church Family History Centre at Forest Glen when he is ready to undertake further research.
