Interfaith Leaders Prepare for National Families Week

As National Families Week draws near Interfaith Leaders meet to plan the upcoming event.

Elder Johnny Leota, Area Seventy of the Pacific Area, volunteer leader for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, met with Reverend Soon Teck Lim (President of Family Federation for World Peace and Unification Australia) and Mr. Gregory Stone (National President of Universal Peace Federation) to plan for an upcoming interfaith event for National Families Week.

In addition to planning for this event, the leaders shared insightful ideas on how they may assist young people to remain grounded in their faith, support families in activities that encourage communication, and encourage individuals to reach out to the wider community in service.

The three leaders will next meet, along with other faith and community leaders, at the National Families Week event at the LDS Bauklham Hills chapel on Saturday 20th May.
