Leadership and Organization

The administration of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints within the Pacific Area is overseen by the Pacific Area Presidency. The presidency consists of an Area President and three other General Authority Seventies and serves under the direction of the First Presidency.

The First Presidency is the highest governing body of the Church. Its members are special witnesses of Jesus Christ, called to teach and testify of Him throughout the world. They seek the Lord's guidance as they oversee the affairs of the Church, counselling together and with other general Church leaders.

The Quorum of the Twelve Apostles is the second-highest governing body in the Church, after the First Presidency. Apostles are special witnesses of Jesus Christ and are called to teach and testify of Him throughout the world.
