Catholic Singer Delights Latter-day Saints

Over 1,000 Macarthur Stake members enjoy guest singer's music

Joseph Hanson, a well-known member of St. Paul’s Catholic Parish in Camden, NSW attended a recent Stake Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the invitation of Morgan Jones, Stake President.

The two men met at the Macarthur Interfaith Network, and Morgan asked Joseph to sing. The one thousand strong congregation enjoyed Joseph’s rendition of two traditional hymns.

Joseph reflected that it was “a very positive and pleasant experience for me to be able to contribute something to the purpose of this important occasion’ for Latter-day Saints “and to meet so many nice, welcoming people.”

Morgan commented, “Joseph’s performance was full of enthusiasm and love for our Lord and Saviour that added to the spirit of the Conference.”

The Macarthur Interfaith Network meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00pm at the Campbelltown Library.
