Once again, the grounds of the Buckland House of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located on the corner of Pennant Hills and Mosely Street in Carlingford, NSW, will be decorated with 140,000 Christmas lights and a life-size nativity scene.
Since 1990, what has come to be known as Temple Hill has been transformed from its former role as a boys' home to award-winning gardens and the Church's well-loved Christmas display.
In December, the grounds become one of the most recognised of Sydney's attractions and are visited by thousands of people.
Located at the corner of Pennant Hills Road and Moseley Street, Carlingford, the spectacular lighting display and Nativity is available to be viewed every night throughout December from dusk until dawn.
Guided tours will be conducted on December 8th - 11th & 15th - 30th from 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm Monday through Saturday, and Sundays 5:00 pm - 9:30 pm. The tours will feature the Life of Christ in art, the video ‘Good Tidings of Great Joy', and the beautiful nativity scenes.
Bring a blanket and socialise around the new Christmas tree.
Baulkham Hills Stake President, Phillip Hobby reflected on this year’s event, remarking, “Our greatest joy in life and greatest hope for eternal life is a gift that comes to us through Jesus Christ.”
“We are delighted to invite our neighbours and friends to visit this year’s ‘Jesus Christ - Light of The World’ presentation. We invite everyone to come and see the beautiful Christmas presentation, to see the life of Jesus Christ art exhibition, and touching video portraying the birth of the Saviour to the world. Every visitor can receive a beautiful Christ centred gift as a token and memory of the visit.”
