FamilySearch, the largest genealogical organisation in the world, has recently published over 40 million new records from around the world including many from Australia.
More than 200,000 records of Immigration Ship papers of South Australia from 1849-1940 were indexed along with 6,127 digital images. Added to the existing collection were almost 600 Civil Registrations (District Registers) from Tasmania for the years 1839 to 1938.
